Classroom friendly tried and tested Assessment Framework linked to the DfE EAL Proficiency Codes. This framework provides clear descriptors to determine the level of English proficiency of EAL pupils. Accompanying this is an easy to use target setting phrase bank which enables teachers to set clear targets for next steps to ensure progress.
